SECTOR 2A AT SNOHOMISH CASCADE ASSOCIATION
7:00 PM TUESDAY November 3, 2009
CALL TO ORDER / APPROVAL OF MINUTES
- Bill Steenis called the meeting to order at 7:07pm. Present were Bill Steenis, Steve Yandl, Trina Coleman, Joyce Bowen, and Cheryl Carlson.
- Trina Coleman presented the Minutes from the October meeting. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried 5 – 0.
- The audit report is complete. There is minor cause for concern over the fact that maintenance fees that are paid early are credited to the following year rather than the year they were paid in.
- We pay $3500 for the audit report to be completed.
- But the law states that we must have an independent audit because we take in over $70,000 a year in fees.
- We will finish up the year with about $5,000 in funds. This is a little under than where we have finished in prior years due to the legal expenses.
- It has been suggested that we keep the dues the same. This will be discussed further in the New Business section.
- Towne and Country is in the middle of fixing all the fence sections along Sno-Cascade Drive.
- We do need to get Brian some paint so he can paint the new fence sections.
- CC&R Violations
- There have been no violations during the past month.
- Project Requests
- There have been no new requests.
- Holiday Decorations of Merit
- The judging will take place on December 14. After judging judges will meet at Bill’s for beverages and snacks.
- Rentals
- Sharma – There is no news on this situation.
- Guimont – The new owners are in the process of moving into the Guimont’s home. The court date is set for Friday, November 5. This is the Motion for Summary Judgment that the Guimont’s filed. We also filed a cross motion. We may or may not receive an answer on the day of the hearing. If both motions are denied then we will
- Warner – Sherman told the Warner’s attorney that we were denying their offer. We have not heard back from them. And we will not do anything until we hear otherwise.
