MINUTES OF THE MONTHLY BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

SECTOR 2A AT SNOHOMISH CASCADE ASSOCIATION

7:00 PM   TUESDAY    March 1, 2011

 

CALL TO ORDER / PRESENTATION

  1. Bill Steenis called the meeting to order at 7:05pm. Present were Bill Steenis, Steve Yandl, Cheryl Carlson, Duane Oord, Evan Adolf and Trina Coleman.
  2. Trina Coleman presented the Minutes from the February meeting.  It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried unanimously.
TREASURER’S REPORT

  1. In the operational reserve we have approximately $24,021. In the long-term fund there is just over $76,500.
  2. About 15 homeowners still need to pay dues for 2011.
MAINTENANCE ISSUES/COMMITTEE

  1. Towne and Country will be repairing several sections of the fence for which we have received a quote.
ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE

  1. No new progress with the homeowner’s with the tent. The one tent is still up and so fines continue to accrue.
 

OLD BUSINESS

  1. Yard of Merit is scheduled to start in May. Bill is looking for someone else to take over the program.
  2. Rentals
    1. Sharma – We received the money regarding the Sharma rental and the check has been deposited into the account and cleared. We have removed the lien.
    2. Guimont – Steve and Bill were deposed by the Guiomont’s attorney today. No new information was learned during these depositions. We voted to instruct Sherman to begin a summary judgment on several key language issues if we do not receive a settlement offer from the Guimonts. We have a trial date scheduled for July 6, 2011.
