- Steve Yandl reported on the HOA financial status.
- $89,075 in checking.
- $5,689 in operational reserve (money market checking)
- $51,678 in long term capital reserve (cd).
- $9,880 less whatever we spend on fence this year will be moved from checking to the CD at a future renewal date.
- $89,075 in checking.
- Audit is on hold pending the bookkeeper turning over financial records for 2012 to the auditor. That is expected within the next several weeks.
- Jim Person reported on his examination of common area fence. He will be getting together with Brian Skinner to arrange to have vegetation cut back from the fence to allow an adequate inspection of needed repairs by Town and Country Fence rep. We’ll be asking the fence rep to apply markings at fence intersections (lot lines between adjacent lots). We’ll also get Brian Skinner to detail the sprinkler system for Jim and show him where the shutoffs are for future emergency situations.
- Steve Yandl commented that we need to keep an eye on the timbers surrounding climbing toy areas at the tot lots and replace if they become too dilapidated.
- Skinner contract renewal. Terms are the same as the last contract with a proposed 3% increase for 2014 and an additional 2% increase for 2015. There was unanimous consent to renew the contract with the proposed increases.
- Steve Yandl reported that the yard maintenance issues we have remain questionable but just enough is being done to warrant holding off on letters. Letters will be sent in the future if any of the referenced yards fall any lower.
- The house on 69th Ave cul de sac with the persistent presence of unapproved tents is due for the foreclosure auction so the tent dispute will get resolved. Statute of limitation issues on having tents erected will not be extended to new owners.
- We continue to get roof replacement requests but surprisingly few paint color requests so far this spring.
- Dalton Day completed his Eagle Scout project at the boat park.
- Once again we’re having issues of excess trash left at the boat park after late season little league games. Younger siblings of players also move gravel from drain areas onto the lawn which causes safety concerns when crews later mow.
