7 P.M. TUESDAY JULY 5, 2016
CALL TO ORDER / PRESENTATION OF MINUTES
- Suzan Miller called the meeting to order at 7:05pm.Present were Suzan Miller, Steve Yandl, Nicole Klages, Tim Day, Tom Mooney and Rick Sallee.
- Minutes of the June 2016 meeting were presented and unanimously approved.
- Steve Yandl reported on current financial status.
- Currently $18,195 in checking. On July 19 when the CD (capital reserve fund) is renewed, per the reserve analysis $34,000 will be transferred to this checking account giving us adequate operation funds to complete 2016.
- There is $50,851 in the long term reserve which will be depleted to $16,851 after the $34k transfer to operational funds.
- We have $5,698 in operational reserve.
- Several debts for which we filed liens have been partially paid or will be paid in full soon. There are 3 liens that may not be cleared quickly.
- Tom Mooney did a great job replacing our signage at the boat park.
- Skinner Landscape has made significant strides in bringing the common areas up to our usual standards.
- We’ve had a number of sprinkler controllers fail.Emphasis is on replacing with more robust and versatile controllers rather than attempt repairs to save money in the short term.Approval given for Skinner to repair a leak at small tot lot where roots from a tree in an adjacent yard caused a pipe split (which likely would not have happened except schedule 200 pipe was used for most of our system and it just isn’t that rugged).
- Several board members went to do a repair of the broken bench at the tot lot and discovered that some good neighbor had already made the repair (anonymously).
- County Public Works crews finally did some weeding along our north border but that stretch of land south of Puget Park Drive is far from pristine and a source of regular complaints.
- Several requests from homeowners.
- Pelkmans – Fence replacement, starting with portion bordering the tot lot, approved.
- Mihalik – Roof replacement approved.Questions on paint colors answered but final decision will come next month when colors are submitted.
- Nishimoto – Questions on rules for sheds; plans to be submitted next month.
- Woods – Wanted approval to replace a sinking walkway to the front door reoplaced with pavers rather than concrete aggregate. After discussion, the architectural control committee gave conditional approval if the work was to be done by a licensed contractor.Specific plans still need to be submitted for approval.
- Complaints, CC&R violations
- Weeds and lawn, 6730 154th Street SE.New owners appear to be making progress in getting the landscape up to standards (the long term neglect was not their doing so they are being afforded a reasonable time frame to get up to speed).
- Blue tarp cover along Snohomish Cascade Drive has now been removed.
- Sooter family paid their fine over the roof situation. This matter is considered closed.
- Letters still need to be sent on a small number of chronically problematic landscapes.
